“Daddy changed the world.”

— Gianna Floyd, George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter.

In America, there have been so many deaths in the black community due to police brutality, an unjust judicial system and systemic racism. The recent death of #GeorgeFloyd was just one of many incidents that showed visual proof of this and how the world we live in today is not much different from centuries ago.

George Floyd’s death shook earth to its knees and evoked anger, frustration, sadness and other disheartening emotions from people all over the world. This particular event made an impact so powerful that people of all races are finally raising questions and concerns on the racial issues that has divided this country for so many years.

During these sensitive times, raising awareness and educating yourself is one of the best responses you can make — not only for the black community, but for a better future. In efforts to being apart of this change, I’m providing resources below that you can use for your reference whenever and wherever. It doesn’t matter what your race is or who you identify as, so long as you open your heart and your mind to the evident injustice that occurs within the black community and share where you stand with your families or neighbors, we’d be that much closer to racial equality and preventing these incidents from ever happening again.
