5 Fave NYC Cafe's
It's midterm week guys and all I can think about is coffee and more coffee. Do you recall my caption from one of my previous insta-posts this week? The caption read, 'Coffee shops over libraries any day', and I mean it 100%. What's not to love? There's food, nice people, beautiful decor, desk space, latte art with major instagram potential—I mean, what more do you need? So in this post I'm digging into my list of lifestyle NYC hotspots and sharing some of my favorite café's where you'll either find me chillin' or catching up on work:
1216 Broadway, New York, NY 10001
Known for: Matcha Latte
My Usual Order: Prosciutto Sandwich (so delicious!) or Banana Bread slice and Matcha Hot Chocolate Latte or Iced Chai
Hashtags: #ChalaitMatcha #ChalaitNYC
If you're following me on instagram, I'm sure you've seen me here more than enough times. This place will always have a place in my heart, as it was the first coffee shop I been to ever since I started blogging. Definitely a keeper and every photo you take here is a guaranteed stunner. They are opening a new and bigger location very soon so definitely follow their instagram to find out dates!
2. Bluestone Lane
55 Greenwich Ave. New York, NY 10014
Known for: Avocado Smash
My Usual Order: Avocado Smash & Vanilla Ice Cream Latte
Hashtags: #BluestoneLane #BluestoneLaneCoffee
Such a beautiful place for coffee and brunch. You have to try their Avocado Smash, I had it twice and it's honestly amazing. And for anyone who has a big appetite (ME), it's filling too!
3. Toby's Estate
125 N 6th St Brooklyn, NY 11249 (Williamsburg)
44 Charles St, New York, NY 10014 (West Village)
Known for: Flat White Coffee
My Usual Order: Hot Chocolate & Chocolate Chip Cookie
Hashtags: #TobysEstate #TobysEstateCoffee
Beautiful Interior in both locations, I love their Williamsburg location the most. It looks like a low key library, except you're allowed to talk. The space is fairly big, and filled with plenty of table space for you to work or catch up with friends.
4. Bibble & Sip
253 W 51st St, New York, NY 10019
Known for: Cream Puffs
My Usual Order: Matcha Cream Puff and Lavandar Latte
I visited this shop for the first time last month! Loving their window seat area as it has the most naturally lit atmosphere, great for photos (see below). I tried out their Matcha Cream Puff and boy was it creamy. I had to have extra napkins handy, as the cream nearly toppled on my every bite. Nevertheless, it was super good! It's also located by Times Square, so if you need any rest stops, this is your place.
5. Butler's Bakeshop & Espresso Bar
95 S 5th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249
My Usual Order: Prosciutto Cornbread and Iced Chai
Hashtags: #ButlersBakeshop
This place is actually new, just opened a couple of weeks ago and is truly a wonderful setting. They have a walk up area, to grab your coffee on the go and their interior gives such old school diner to modern vibes. Great size for a few friends or those lonely times when you just want to do some homework.
Do you have any favorite coffee shops in NYC? If so, comment them below, I would love to add some new places to my list!
See you on the next post!
