Everyday Should Be Mother's Day

Everyday should be Mother’s Day.

As many times have I’ve heard that before, it could never be more true.

Since life has a way of prioritizing adulthood over personal time off with work and other responsibilities, we don't always get to cherish time with our loved ones as much as we’d like to. Nonetheless, technology has made it easier to stay in contact whether it be through skype, text messaging, social media, or a mere phone call. Despite our busy lives, there'll always be a way to stay connected.

My mother and I have lived together for about two decades. The rest of the time I spent in Toronto with my father and late grandmother to attend high school. I stayed in contact with my mother through those same communication channels as mentioned above and when my senior year was coming to a close, she visited to see me graduate. My mother has done a lot for me over the years such as supporting me while I attended high school abroad and continuously working really hard to maintain a roof over my head and food on the table. She is the very example of a mother to be celebrated everyday and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thank you Anne Fontaine for celebrating the gift of family with us. It's something we truly cherish as mother and daughter and will continue to cherish for years to come.
