New Years is right around the corner and I’m sure some of you either don’t have anything special planned or have nothing to wear for those special plans. As someone who has been in your shoes way too many times in the past, I’m here to help.
There were several amazing trends that surfaced this year. Some of which I hope will continue on to next year. Nevertheless, it’s always nice to use these trends as inspiration and consider the classics when all else fails.
Here are my top 4 holiday styles:
1. The Statement Top – As seen above, there’s nothing like rocking your favorite skinny jeans with a statement top that stands out from the crowd. This off-shoulder ruche piece definitely does the job with its vibrant season-forward color and unique decorative details. If you’re looking for something that’s both easygoing and unexpected, give this a try.
This look marks 3/3 of the outfits I chose to feature from Light In The Box (See previous here and here). They are still having their annual end-of-the-year sale so be sure to check out all of their holiday pieces here.
2. Velvet – Velvet returned this year, stronger than ever. The trend expanded from clothing to footwear, that it became THE versatile piece of the Fall and Winter seasons. This style works for all figures and is the most flattering with deeper necklines. Try this out if you’re feelin’ yourself :D.
3. Satin – Classy and flawless is what I like to call it. I see satin as the next best thing to chiffon as it flows very nicely and looks beautiful when worn in right color. I personally recommend neutrals when it comes to this fabric; Depending on the lighting for your special occasion, the reflective sheen is more subtle on neutral tones. Try this out if your feeling chic.
4. LBD – Once a classic, always a classic. You could never go wrong with a little black dress for any occasion. New Years or not, with the right shoes and accessories, dressing up will never become an issue.
Now you’re ready to step into 2017 with not only positive vibes, but a fabulous outfit as well! Tell me, what’s your favorite holiday style? Comment below!
