As a May baby and proud Gemini, I’m so excited for this years spring and summer seasons that I’ve already started turning over my wardrobe trying out some of the new pieces I’ve gotten over the past few weeks. With inspiration from Bonobos‘ new mens spring collection, I’ve mustered up three looks featuring trends I strongly feel you’ll be seeing a lot of this coming spring. Check them out below!
I’ve actually grown a liking to florals lately, as I’ve seen the trend become some popular amongst footwear clothes I’ve seen plenty of embroidered florals lately on accessories such as booties, platforms and bags this past fall. During NYFW Spring/Summer 2016, I’ve seen the trend transcend to clothing from bombers to denim. Here’s a look I created incorporating this trend.
There will always be something classy and timeless about monochrome/co-ord looks. I found this outfit in Uniqlo the other day but none of the employees I spoke to, thought to pair these items together. They were merchandised separately on the floor so it wasn’t an obvious style to think of. Honestly I’m just obsessed with neutrals and nudes that I picked them both up right away hehe.
In the warmer months, I like to stay away from fabrics prone to be sticky or restrict movement. In these cases, I usually opt for light and airy alternatives like silks, cottons and linens in specific styles including culottes, gauchos, or an drapey button-ups. Am I the only one who adores these kind of fabrics for spring/summer? Especially when they’re sported in angelic colors like whites and creams. Tip for you: Switch your trendy oversized sweater for the oversized button-up. Like my previous sweater look from Uniqlo, I got this button-up from Uniqlo in a size L and am OBSESSED with how airy it is! The sleeves are longer too which is totally on trend and looks super chic!
